The Prime Minister revealed that Minister of Foreign Affairs was assigned to discuss the matter with UN to seek possible option for the Rohingyas.
January 15, 2013, at 1230hrs, in front of the Office of the Cabinet Secretariat, the Government House, Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra gave an interview, following the cabinet meeting, on the recent case of Rohingyas migrants that the United Nation would discuss the matter with Ministry of Foreign Affairs. Meanwhile, the Thai Government will take care of the Rohingyas based on the humanitarian principle. Thailand has not yet decided on the return or relocation of Rohingya migrants to a 3rd country until after the consultation with UN and a destination country.
