中国驻泰国大使宁赋魁拜访总理兼国防部长英拉


November 27, 2013, at 0930hrs, Chinese ambassador to Thailand Ning Fukui paid a courtesy call on Prime Minister and Defense Minister Yingluck Shinawatra at the Parliament.
The Chinese ambassador expressed concern on the current political situation in Thailand, and commended PM Yingluck and the Government for its standpoint in coping with the situation by peaceful means. The ambassador also hoped that the two sides could open talks to get through the current conflict for the sake of national peace and unity. He also stated that Sino-Thai relations are now in good progress. Cooperation has been made in all dimensions including infrastructure development project.
Aside from the Chinese ambassador, a number of foreign nations, such as the US, United Kingdom, and Australia have expressed their concern on current political situation of Thailand through their official statements. They called upon all parties to exercise restraint, refrain from violence, as well as respect the rule of law, and expressed hope for peaceful resolution. The Thai Government thanked them for their concern, and reaffirmed the importance of democratic process, and conflict resolution by peaceful means.
