英拉的律师否认有威胁国家反腐败委员会不法行为

A lawyer representing the caretaker prime minister denied on Friday having threatened the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC).
Buncha Porameesanaporn was responding to the NAAC’s plan to ask the Thai Lawyers Council to take action against the premier’s lawyer team.
The team represents Yingluck Shinawatra in a case in which she was accused of dereliction of duty as chair of the rice-pledging scheme.
Mr Buncha said a lawyer was considered litigant as per Section 1 (11) of the Civil Procedure Code.
As such, the lawyers have the authority to ensure justice is administered in this case.
Mr Buncha claimed the team did not tarnish their professional reputation.
The NACC mentioned 2 million tonnes of paddy were missing and did not allow the defendant to call more witnesses.
As counsellors, they were compelled to oppose such discretion.
The lawyers will continue to find evidence to take legal action against the NACC commissioners under Section 157 of the Penal Code.
The law prescribes: “Whoever, being an official, wrongfully exercises or does not exercise any of his functions to the injury of any person, or dishonestly exercises or omits to exercise any of his functions, shall be punished with imprisonment of 1-10 years or fined of 2,000 to 20,000 baht, or both.”
The move is not a threat but a legitimate exercise of one’s right.
“That the NACC prohibited our involvement in the case is also a threat, isn’t it?” he said.
